Strength in numbers: To get more out of every workout, exercise with a friend.

When it comes to exercise, the more the merrier. Work out with a buddy and you’re likely to exercise more frequently, for more minutes, and with more repetitions. Having a workout buddy makes you accountable to another person, increasing the likelihood that you’ll exercise on a regular basis. (We know how easy it is to get distracted by that pile of laundry or a favorite TV show!) You’re also likely to perform aerobic tasks better if you bring along a friend. You can thank your friend after the workout! If you’re looking to push yourself a little, invite along a friend who’s in slightly better shape than you are. Then sweat it out — together.
