Quick & Healthy 4th of July Desserts

The Fourth of July is about celebrating our independence through fireworks, barbecues, and dessert! If you’re looking for a new recipe to make for your  July 4th party, picnic or potluck, try making one of these simple and healthy dessert recipes.

Patriotic Fruit Platter

Simply arrange blueberries, strawberries and white chocolate, or yogurt covered pretzels to resemble the American Flag!

 

Red, White & Blue Fruit Kaboba

Pick your favorite red, white and blue color fruit and assemble using wooden skewers. Strawberries, bananas and blueberries are a great combination.

Watermelon "Cake"


Start by cutting the rounded ends off of the watermelon. Next, take a large knife and trace the edge of the rind, closest to the red, of the watermelon. Remove the center and discard the rind and skin. Spread whipped cream along the top and sides of the watermelon, as you would decorate a baked cake. Finally top with raspberries, blueberries and almonds!
