Salt Boosts Hunger More than Thirst…
Recent finding: Salt increases thirst for an hour or two, but within 24 hours, high-salt intake actually reduces thirst and increases hunger. Constant consumption of a high salt diet can result in obesity if the added food intake is not balanced by higher energy expenditure. So there may be another reason to avoid high-salt consumption, which is already linked to high blood pressure.
