Whether you are looking for nutrition and recipe tips or interested in logging your work outs, these apps will make it easier for you to stay on track.

 Below are links to each app, which are available to use on your smartphone or the web. All are free!!!

My fitness pal- an easy to use app which allows you to log your food intake daily. Uses your information to produce a calorie goal for the day and you can track this as you log what you eat. Also log exercise to keep track of calories burned.

Spark People- a detailed guide which offers nutrition, health, and fitness tools, support, and resources. Food and calorie trackers, activity logs, access to tips and articles on health and wellness.

Eating Well- an app full of healthy recipes! Have a favorite meal? Look it up here for a healthier version.

Lose It-  Log your calories and workouts while getting peer support at the same time! Have a customized weight loss plan to suit your lifestyle. Enter goals and work towards achieving them.

Fooducate- An app that makes grocery shopping healthier and easier! Scan barcodes to find out an items “grade” and see a list of alternative options. Explains information on food labels and explains both good and bad highlights of each item.

Shopwell- Healthy eating made simple. Uses a scoring system to rate food from 0-100 based on how well they match your personal health needs. Create shopping lists, and compare products to find healthier options.

Map My Ride & Map My Run- Both are fitness tracking apps that allows you to use the built-in GPS of your mobile device to track all of your fitness activities(running, biking, hiking, walking, etc). Record your workout details, including duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned, and route traveled on an interactive map.

Google- My Tracks- Monitor real-time speed, distance and elevation right on your phone. Record your heart rate or bike cadence to know exactly how you’re doing.

Nike Training Club- Over 100 workouts to choose based on goal or ability level. Track your progress to see improvement and stay motivated.

Moves- Pedometer- Easy to use activity tracker. Log your steps, running, or biking distance.

Active-Couch to 5k- Follow this easy training plan for new runners. Train for 30 minutes a day, just 3 days a week, for 9 weeks to reach your 5k(3.1 miles) goal.
